I see a real benefit in the quality of placemaking and architecture within the education sector – students may not always realise it, but we know that a healthier learning environment will lead to better education for them, and that’s pretty satisfying. I like the fact that we can play a role in creating quality spaces for young learners, and I enjoy being part of the transformation. My aim is to create something that everyone can be proud of—the client, the school, and the architects—and good communication with the school and good rapport with the client is vital.
