As anchor destinations, cinemas often play a key role in the success of shopping centres. Our brand experiences and interior design teams work closely with each operator to understand the business model and maximise site opportunities.
Cinema venues become part of the social fabric, so we always consider the physical, social, and economic connections that we can foster through design.
EVENT KAWANA
Kawana, Australia
The design was inspired by a ‘marketplace’ experience and includes the new-look public lounge area and meeting place. With 9 cinemas, including 4 General Admission, 2 Vmax, and 3 Gold Class, Event Cinemas Kawana is one of the first new concept cinemas to be rolled out in Event’s extensive portfolio.
EVENT NEWMARKET
Auckland, New Zealand
Located on Broadway, Event Cinemas Newmarket has seven cinemas spread across two levels. Guests enter through a main lobby, which features a bar and relaxed seating. Patrons can also enjoy a boutique cinema experience, with two boutique themed cinemas and a boutique lounge.
EVENT TAURANGA CROSSING
Tauranga, New Zealand
The fit-out design sets the stage for entertainment for all ages. The team worked alongside Event Cinemas to create an eclectic mix of rustic and modernism in the pursuit of a 'New York' vibe.
EVENT HURSTVILLE
Sydney, Australia
Located in Westfield Hurstville, this venue lives into the brand's ethos of enjoying ‘your cinema, your way’. Event Hurstville features the latest audio visual technology, with upgraded amenities and premium options like creative catering, to be served in private cinemas.
EVENT GU FILMHOUSE GLENELG
Adelaide, Australia
The development features six bespoke cinemas, with 907 seats and 23 disabled spaces. The new complex specialises in niche, arthouse, and mainstream releases. It also offers patrons a candy bar and a licensed café, which features a curated menu.
EVENT CINEMAS SMITHFIELD
Queensland, Australia
The development features six cinemas, including one Vmax cinema with the largest screen in Cairns at 21.3 metres wide. The complex totals 1,363 seats and 30 disabled spaces.
