The Country Club Huapai creates an idyllic and elegant country club setting. Villas and apartments provide independent living and are placed throughout the site to complement the landscape's contours.

An intentionally restrained material palette creates cohesion and connection. White painted brick and cedar cladding, louvres, and black aluminium joinery feature throughout, and all buildings have a gabled stand and seam metal roof as another reference to the site’s vineyard history.

The centre of the site houses the amenities building, which acts as a hub and gathering space for residents. The main entry feature is a grand double-height reception area that leads to a café and restaurant, lounge, games room, and a bar for residents and guests to enjoy. The generously sized dining area connects to the green courtyards where outdoor activities like pétanque and lawn bowls take place.

Two three-level wings branch off the amenities building. Apartments and a wellness centre (pool, spa, physio room, and hairdresser facilities) are located to the north and west, while assisted care facilities lie to the south.

Each room allows for passive surveillance with a pleasant view of the surrounds or a common area to encourage social interaction.
