Ignite Celebrates Seven Internal Appointments

With significant growth across regions, in our Christchurch studio, Joshua Vlaanderen steps up as Associate alongside Jamie Irvine, now appointed Associate Director & Christchurch Studio Lead. Syzmon Gozdzikowski earns the title of Director, while Michael O’Brien takes on the Director role in the Wellington studio.

"In recognising their exceptional dedication and contributions, these promotions reflect our commitment to nurturing talent within Ignite," says Jeremy Whelan, Principal and Managing Director at Ignite.

In our Auckland studio, Leanne Williamson celebrates her well-deserved promotion to Associate, recognising her valuable contributions. Nathan Carey takes on the pivotal role of Sector Lead, bringing his expertise and dedication to the forefront.

"Each of these individuals has demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication to our projects and clients," adds Grant Armstrong, Principal.

Additionally, we're thrilled to announce that Kapotai Marino is now our Pou Whirinaki, marking an exciting new chapter for Ignite. This appointment signifies a significant milestone as we further embrace and spotlight various aspects of Te Āo Māori.

"This appointment reflects our commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion," remarks Grant. "Kapotai is our pou, our pillar, guiding us through this new and exciting chapter," Grant continues.

A significant milestone for Ignite: Jennis Lee, who joined us as a Senior Architect 8 years ago, makes history as our first female Director. Her remarkable journey with Ignite embodies dedication and excellence.

"These promotions underscore our belief in recognising and empowering talent within our team," concludes Jeremy Whelan.

These appointments reflect the exceptional capabilities and leadership of each individual, as well as their ongoing dedication to Ignite's clients and projects. Congratulations to all!
